From passion project
to acquisition channel

Starting as a small blog in 2016, The Recreationalist was a content blog for both the founder and creative team within Outdoor Voices — a way to document moodboards and other brand ephemera. Fast forward to 2019, the Outdoor Voices brand had organically grown a loyal following and a highly engaged community. Wanting to capitalize on this momentum, I was tasked with redesigning The Recreationalist to become a content hub that worked as a new acquisition channel for new customers while increasing lifetime value for existing customers.
